Getting started

  1. Install KiddoTurn on your phone and sign in with Apple, Google or your email.
  2. Create your family and add a child.
  3. On your phone, tap "Add device" for your child. Install KiddoTurn on your child's phone, choose "This is a child's device" and scan the QR code shown on your phone (or type the 6-digit code). Confirm the pairing on your phone.
  4. On your child's phone, follow the protection set-up and choose which apps should pause during routines.
  5. Create a routine. Use "Test protection" on the child's phone to check that the selected apps really pause.

Common questions

Apps on my child's iPhone don't pause

Open KiddoTurn on the child's iPhone and check the protection screen. Screen Time access must be allowed, and apps must be chosen. If your child's Apple Account is in your Family Sharing group, approve the Screen Time request on your own iPhone when it appears.

Apps on my child's Android phone don't pause

KiddoTurn needs its accessibility service to be on (Settings → Accessibility → KiddoTurn). Some phone makers stop background apps to save battery: set KiddoTurn's battery usage to "Unrestricted" or "Don't optimise". If protection stops, your phone shows a warning on the child's card.

Can I manage routines from my computer?

Yes. Sign in at kiddoturn.com/app with the same email or Google account you use in the app. You can see today's progress, approve tasks, allow or lock apps, edit routines and tasks, and connect a new child's phone by showing its QR code on screen.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. The child's phone keeps the latest family set-up and applies routines on its own. Changes you make on your phone arrive when the child's phone is next online.

How do I give my child a break, or pause apps right now?

On your phone's Home screen, use "Allow apps" to open the apps for 15, 30 or 60 minutes or until you turn it off, or "Lock apps now" to pause the selected apps immediately, even outside a routine.

How do I remove a child's phone?

In the Family tab, open the child, find the device and tap "Remove". Its access stops immediately. On the child's iPhone you can then also turn off KiddoTurn's Screen Time access in Settings.

How do I delete my account and data?

Email hello@kiddoturn.com from the address you sign in with and ask for deletion. We delete your account and family data within 30 days. See the Privacy Policy.
